Knowledge and Skills

You will gain knowledge in advertising psychology, market research, consumer behavior, brand building, public relations, brand and sales management, as well as working with emotions and conflict. You will develop an in-depth understanding of human behavior in the consumer space and learn to navigate the challenges, opportunities, and risks businesses face when developing and offering products or services.

Specialization in the Business Psychology Program: Negotiation and Mediation in Business

Who is it for?

The “Negotiation and Mediation in Business” specialization was created in recognition of the fact that negotiation is a constant element of the business world. Today’s business environment increasingly incorporates elements of mediation in negotiations and uses mediation to resolve various types of conflicts—between companies and clients, supervisors and employees, or among colleagues.
This specialization is ideal for individuals interested in interpersonal communication, PR, mediation and negotiation, as well as leadership.

Knowledge and Skills

You’ll gain knowledge in interpersonal behavior psychology, the negotiation process (including tactics and common mistakes), and advanced skills in mediation—such as nonviolent communication, the mediator’s toolkit, and working with emotions and motivation. You’ll gain deep insight into principles of interpersonal communication, public speaking, stress and conflict management, the psychology of social influence, and the risks of manipulation.
You will also develop tools for identifying and analyzing conflict situations, ethically influencing others, and supporting organizations in building relationships and constructively resolving conflicts with partners and clients. Leadership-focused tools will further enhance your professional capabilities.
