Szczecin’s Higher School Collegium Balticum

Szczecin’s Higher School Collegium Balticum has existed from June 2000. For 10 years we have been educating students while maintaining high level of teaching and adjusting our standards to the demands of the market.

            Currently, Collegium Balticum is educating students at BA and MA courses, carrying out postgraduate studies as well as organizing many specialist courses. Our School’s chief principle is flexibility of teaching with absolute observance of educational standards. In the latest survey conducted by Rzeczpospolita daily Collegium Balticum was ranked number one in Szczecin and Westpomeranian region and number 11 in Poland among non-public BA course higher schools.

            Collegium Balticum offers full-time and extramural courses in 4 fields of study:

• Pedagogics,
• Economics,
• Political Science,
• English and German Philology.

We offer many specializations within these four major fields.

            What is more, Collegium Balticum has a library, media library as well as a publishing house. Within Collegium Balticum operate The University Sports Association and Foreign Languages Academy, which offers courses in languages from different parts of the world, e.g. Japanese, Czech, Swedish or Arabic. The students at Collegium Balticum have a possibility to obtain The European Language Certificate (TELC) and a European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL), which is a reliable certification of actual abilities and skills.

            Thanks to the schools involvement in the ERASMUS programme, which supports international cooperation of higher schools and facilitates exchange of students and research workers. the school offers foreigners an opportunity to study Polish language. Currently there are students from Turkey, India and Nigeria (among others) studying at Collegium Balticum
